Collaborating with Human Rights Center at Stanford University

During her sabbatical in 2014, Justine Nolan, Deputy Director of the AHRCentre is collaborating with the Human Rights Center at Stanford University to advise them on developing business and human rights research projects for their law students. Working with Claret Vargas, Executive Director of the Human Rights Center, Justine is using the opportunity while at Stanford to develop future projects that would benefit from in-depth student research on particular business and human rights issues. In April 2014 Justine gave a public lecture at Stanford on ‘Beyond the Guiding Principles’ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIyxEJjdkaQ) which focused on the current status quo of integrating human rights standards into business operations. During her time in the US, Justine will also be giving lectures on business and human rights at the University of California, Berkeley and Yale University both in November 2014.
