The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe - post-show forum & discussion

 

AHRCentre Director and Patron of The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe (which played to capacity audiences at the Riverside Theatre last week), Andrea Durbach, moderated a forum on theatre’s capacity to heal trauma, refugee experiences of Australia’s multiculturalism and resettlement programs, and on structural violence against women after a performance of The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe which features four women survivors of torture and trauma from countries undergoing conflict. 

The forum speakers were (left to right): Juliana Nkrumah, Mohamed Dukuly, Jasmina Bajraktarevic and Andrea Durbach.
